Our Goals and Objectives

GOAL 1. To ensure that marginalised and disempowered people throughout the world are acknowledged, that their stories are heard, that their requests for change are amplified, and that they experience corresponding, sustainable and measurable change in their lives and in the lives of those with a similar plight as a result.

Objective 1.1. To identify socially, politically and economically marginalised groups throughout the world to make sure that they are recognised and acknowledged;
Objective 1.2. To assist marginalised and disempowered people to identify the changes needed to improve their lives and utilise a variety of methods and platforms to ensure that the stories of marginalised and disempowered people and their requests for change are heard;
Objective 1.3. To equip marginalised and disempowered people with the skills, knowledge, resources and support necessary to enable them to change their own lives;
Objective 1.4. To utilise a variety of methods and platforms to capture and promote the stories of positive change occurring in the lives of marginalised and disempowered people.


GOAL 2. To increase awareness and engagement of the general public on the plight of marginalised and disempowered people throughout the world, to increase their passion and ability to become involved in amplifying and achieving the requests for change, and to connect them to stories of real and sustainable change in the lives of marginalised and disempowered people.

Objective 2.1 To utilise a variety of methods and platforms to raise public awareness about the plight of marginalised and disempowered people throughout the world;
Objective 2.2 To provide opportunities for the general public to become involved and engaged with Voice and the plight of marginalised and disempowered people;
Objective 2.3 To utilise a variety of methods and platforms to promote the stories of positive change occurring in the lives of marginalised and disempowered people in order to further engage the general public.


GOAL 3. To establish a transparent, accountable, cost-effective, tax-deductible and reputable not-for-profit organisation that is appealing to donors and that has a sustainable income.

Objective 3.1 To register and maintain Voice as a legally authorised not-for-profit organisation with international operations and tax deductibility status in Australia;
Objective 3.2 To develop good governance procedures that ensure Voice is transparent, cost effective and accountable;
Objective 3.3 To promote and regularly re-assess the cost-effectiveness and accountability of Voice;
Objective 3.4 To understand donor requirements and to package Voice in a way that is appealing to donors;
Objective 3.5 To secure sustainable income sources by designing and implementing social enterprise concepts and building relationships with long-term donors;
Objective 3.6 To develop strategic donor reporting mechanisms and maintain high-quality donor reporting standards;
Objective 3.7 To build public awareness of Voice through strategic marketing;
Objective 3.8 To regularly and strategically monitor and evaluate Voice’s progress in achieving its goals and objectives.


GOAL 4. To build a team of dedicated and passionate staff and associated individuals who feel connected and engaged with the plight of marginalised and disempowered people, who feel like they are making a positive difference in the world, and who feel acknowledged for their hard work and achievements.

Objective 4.1 To provide meaningful opportunities for interested individuals or groups to become involved in and contribute to Voice and the plight of marginalised and disempowered people;
Objective 4.2 To define roles and targets for staff and associated individuals which clearly contribute to achieving the overall goals and objectives of Voice;
Objective 4.3 To develop a range of mechanisms which allow staff and associated individuals to regularly share and appreciate information, ideas, progress and achievements;
Objective 4.4 To institute reflexive action learning processes within staff and volunteer management.

To make a difference in the lives of disenfranchised people
